Wanted: Visual Designer proficient in Vector Interfaces

Requirements:

• I am looking for a highly talented, experienced, and enthusiastic designer to join me on visual design for our products.
• You’ll need a passion for visual design and a vast understanding of design for rich application interfaces built in Adobe Flash and Flex.
• You must have strong design aesthetic and expertise in a vector based design environment.
• You must have experience leveraging brand guidelines to build a baseline around your designs and in our case, extending the brand to help create design guidelines for our products.
• You’ll need to be an excellent problem solver and be able to communicate your design direction affectively.
• The short list of applications I expect you to be proficient in are - Illustrator, Fireworks, Flash (Adobe CS3 products are used internally) and familiarity with designing for Flex Applications is a major plus.
• I do expect to see a portfolio demonstrating your design experience and skills. It’s important for me to see you proudly present design achievements and decisions.
• If you do not like seeing your designs in media headlines, do not bother inquiring.
• This is a part-time consulting position (starting @ $80/hour).
• You may telecommute from within the Bay Area (San Francisco, Silicon Valley), but I will need to meet with you face-to-face on a sporadic basis (once a week or every two weeks).

Our company is in stealth mode, which means I cannot disclose the details of the work until you sign our standard NDA.
