Don’t add Confusion to Great Products / Services

Steve Jobs - Simplicity Apple Simplicity
MS Complexity Bill Gates - Complex

Steve may not present as much as Bill does, which is also consistent with the obvious Apple principle. One can come to the conclusion that there is a strategy in play here with Apple.

I have seen Bill do a great presentation of his products, but the above photo doesn’t convey a clear message. Sure, things are different when you’re presenting on services versus presenting on products, but that’s even the more reason to keep things simple.

There is a lot behind Steve’s approach and there are points to be made about the contrast of the two, so head over to Presentation Zen

The references are rather old (2005 postings), but it’s important now and then to bolster your presentation skills, which is something I am doing a lot of at the moment.
